About Shiara…

Shiara M. Carney is a fantasy author and professional storyteller whose imagination has always lived between worlds.

Born in Puerto Rico and raised in North Carolina, Shiara draws inspiration from two places rich in natural beauty, history, and wonder. The luminous landscapes of Puerto Rico and the windswept coasts of North Carolina have left their imprint on the worlds she creates, shaping stories filled with hope, hidden gifts, and the courage to answer one’s calling.

Shiara has been writing stories for as long as she can remember. Her love of language became a career in tech marketing, but fiction has always been where her creativity feels most at home. She reads for work and for pleasure, writes for work and for pleasure, and still finds herself dreaming up characters when she is supposed to be doing something else.

She lives in the beautiful state of North Carolina with her wonderful husband, their darling daughter, and a very fluffy dog. Away from her desk, she loves traveling, great food, fashion and beautiful design, Pilates, and searching for her next favorite rooftop view.
